Radio communications for reliable and accurate detection at any altitude and in any location.

In order to ensure continuous detection and signalling information, the Neurone system uses high-performance radio receivers and transmitters that provide exceptional transmission distances even with its internal antennas:

  • It allows you to detect all aircraft equipped with a transponder, the Neurone or FLARM.
  • It enables you to be detected by all aircraft equipped with an ADS-B IN transponder, a FLARM system or Neurone device.
The Neurone uses Bluetooth to send all this information to your Smartphone or tablet, which then analyses the collision risks in detail and provides you with visual and audio feedback.

Since all the detection and signalling transmissions are transmitted via radio, the Neurone system is independent of any network, be it telephone, internet or anything else, and can therefore operate at any location and altitude without experiencing network interruptions.

The NeuroFLY application, which is linked to the Neurone by Bluetooth, analyses all flight paths in real time and provides visual and audible notifications of potential collision risks.

The Neurone system is easy to use, easy to install, and can be adapted to suit your needs:
  • The Neurone - the heart of the system. It exchanges its position with other Neurones via ultra-long range radio and is connected to the NeuroFLY application on your Smartphone or tablet.
  • The NeuroADSB is an ADS-B IN transponder. It connects to the Neurone and detects the positions of all ADS-B transponders as well as the altitudes and distances of both Mode S and C transponders.
  • The NeuroFLARM is a FLARM radio transmitter and receiver. It connects to the Neurone . It detects and is detected by all aircraft equipped with FLARM.
  • The transponder cable turns your Mode S transponder (*) into an ADS-B OUT transponder.
In areas covered by a mobile network, radio exchanges are completed automatically:
  • You will be able to see traffic from other platforms (OGN, Safesky, Pilotaware, ADSBhub...)
  • You will also be visible on these platforms.
Instructors or family members can follow you live via NeuroSky, a truly immersive 3D experience that also allows you to replay your flights.

The Neurone system is designed and manufactured in France and is suitable for all types of aircraft, including helicopters, paragliders, microlights, gliders, drones...

Enjoy uninterrupted transmissions at all times thanks to our zero-latency radio communication system:
  • The Neurone can detect and be detected by other Neurone devices from over 20 kilometres away.
  • The NeuroADSB can detect the positions of all ADS-B transponders as well as the altitudes and distances of Mode S and C transponders.
  • NeuroFLARM can also detect and be detected by all aircraft equipped with FLARM.
  • When fitted with the transponder cable, the Neurone turns your Mode S transponder (*) into an ADS-B OUT transponder so that you can be detected by all ADS-B IN transponders.

Risk analysis
A collision risk assessment is provided visually and in audio.

The flight paths of all surrounding aircraft are analysed in real time and the risk of collision is assessed and classified by taking into account all possible manoeuvres that could be made by you and other pilots.

The risk of collision is assessed and classified in order to help you make your decisions. NeuroFly continuously analyses the risk of collision by taking into account all possible manoeuvres and displays a coloured segment in the direction of the aircraft that presents the greatest risk.

  • YELLOW indicates a POSSIBLE risk: if you maintain your direction and speed, you will not collide with the other aircraft, but beware of any changes, as you could be within 45 seconds of a risk of collision. Keep a close eye on that aircraft's movements.
  • ORANGE indicates a HIGH risk: our analysis shows that if you stay on course, you will pass very close to another aircraft within 45 seconds. Stay alert & keep a close eye on that aircraft.
  • RED indicates a SERIOUS risk: your flight paths intersect! There is a high risk of collision - you must take immediate action in order to avoid collision!
  • GREY indicates a POSSIBLE risk with an aircraft equipped with a Mode S or Mode C transponder. Remember that these transponders do not transmit the aircraft's position but only its altitude. The relative altitude is indicated for aircraft equipped with mode S or C transponders, as well as their proximity, which is classified from 0 to 5, based on the intensity of their transponder signal.
You will receive a clear audio alert when there is a risk of collision. This will inform you of:
  • The level of risk
  • The type of aircraft concerned
  • Its heading
  • Its relative altitude
This audio alert is designed to prompt you to look at the screen when faced with a potential risk. If you have a Bluetooth headset, you can connect it to your Smartphone or tablet and receive this information directly into your headset. You can also wear a headphone from your Smartphone underneath your headset.

If you are on patrol and do not want to receive alerts about a certain aircraft's presence: use our special button and NeuroFly will ignore its position for as long as you wish.
